Where/When: Greene Public Library; Fridays, 10-10:30 a.m.

Why Go: The Greene Public Library hosts a Friday morning program each week beginning for 1 to 3-year-olds accompanied by a parent or caregiver. The activity features songs, movement and a story. Please call the library at 397-3873 to register.

2.) Fisherman's Breakfast

Where/When: Summit Baptist Church (1176 Victory Hwy.); Saturday, 4-11 a.m.

Why Go: Summit Baptist Church will help local fishermen celebrate the Opening Day of Freshwater Fishing Season by hosting a breakfast (eat-in or take-out). Menu includes eggs, home fries, sausage and more. You can also take a snack to go for mind-morning or fuel-up after your fishing trip!

Pricing: $6/full breakfast, $5/sandwich

3.) Eco-Depot

Where/When: Coventry Dept. of Public Works; Saturday, 8 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Why Go: This weekend, residents will be able to dispose of household hazardous waste for free so that it doesn't end up in the state's Central Landfill or in RI waterways. Appointments are recommended and can be made by calling 401.942.1430 ext. 241. Visit http://www.rirrc.org/ecodepot for a complete list of accepted items and materials.

4.) JVD Recycle Day

Where/When: Fr. John V. Doyle School (343 Main St.); Saturday, 9 a.m.

Why Go: Safely recycle your unwanted electronics and paper today! This event is sponsored by Office Recycling Solutions (ORS). All proceeds benefit the Father John V. Doyle School.

Pricing: $20/carload of electronics, $30/small truck or SUV, 30 cents/pound of paper (shredder on site), and $10 minimum for anything less than a carload.

5.) Greene Library LEGO Club

Where/When: Greene Public Library (179 Hopkins Hollow Rd., Greene); Saturday, 10-11 a.m.

Why Go: Children in grades 1-5 are invited to bring their imagination to the Library's LEGO Club! No registration necessary.

Pricing: Free 

6.) Line Dancing

Where/When: Coventry-West Greenwich Elks Lodge; Sunday, 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Why Go: Want to try something a little different this weekend? Then try your hand (or feet) at line dancing. All ages and abilities are welcome. For more info call Jerry (397-3700) or Lori (206-3618).

Pricing: $6 per person to benefit Elks and Emblems charities.
