Why Go: The Greene Public Library hosts a Friday morning program each week beginning for 1 to 3-year-olds accompanied by a parent or caregiver. The activity features songs, movement and a story. Please call the library at 397-3873 to register.

2.)Â WRICHS Community Yard Sale
Where/When: Coventry Community Center; Saturday, 7 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Why Go:Â The Western RI Civic Historical Society is holding a Community Yard Sale this weekend. Come see what treasures your neighbors might have! All proceeds benefit the historic Paine House at 7 Station Street.Â

3.)Â CLL Opening Day
Where/When: Paine Field (Coventry Community Center); Saturday, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Why Go:Â The Coventry Little League will hold its annual Opening Day ceremonies this Saturday! Participants are asked to arrive early as parking will be limited, however additional parking at the G-Tech lot on Rt. 117. Join the CLL in welcoming another great season!

4.)Â Earth Day Celebration
Where/When: Coventry Greenway crossing on Station St.; Saturday, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Why Go: Members of the Parks & Recreation Department will host Coventry's annual Earth Day Cleanup and Celebration at the Coventry Greenway Crossing on Station Street this Saturday! Activities will include the planting of annual flowers, perennials and bulbs, as well as a scenic walk on the Greenway while picking up litter as you stroll. Parks & Rec will supply planting materials, gloves, bags and tools, but feel free to bring your own as well. Refreshments, snacks and Earth Day giveaways will be handed out. Please call the Parks and Recreation office at 822-9107 by April 19 to register for this free event.

5.)Â VFW Steak Fry
Where/When: Coventry Memorial VFW Post 9404 (29 South Main St.); Saturday, 5-8 p.m.
Why Go:Â Coventry Memorial VFW is hosting another Steak Fry on Saturday. Each ticket includes dinner with "all the fixin's" and entertainment. For tickets or more information, call 828-9705.

6.)Â Rock & Roll Fundraiser
Where/When: Mishnock Barn (200 Mishnock Rd., West Greenwich) ; Sunday, 3-7 p.m.
Why Go: Stop by the Mishnock Barn for a night of Rock & Roll for a great cause - Hasbro Children's Hospital! Live music from Not For Nuthin' and Mishnock All Stars.

7.)Â Rice City Church Music Night
Where/When: Rice City Church (63 Vaughn Hollow Rd., Greene) ; Sunday, 7 p.m.
Why Go:Â Come enjoy an evening of music performed by members of Rice City Church. All are invited!
Pricing:Â Free admission, however a donation of a non-perishable food item for the Coventry Food Bank is requested.
8.)Â Line Dancing
Where/When:Â Coventry-West Greenwich Elks Lodge;Â Sunday, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Why Go: Want to try something a little different this weekend? Then try your hand (or feet) at line dancing. All ages and abilities are welcome. For more info call Jerry (397-3700) or Lori (206-3618).
Pricing: $6 per person to benefit Elks and Emblems charities.
