COVENTRY, RI — Independence Day is quickly approaching, which means it's time to fire up that barbecue and find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on in and around Coventry for 2023.
We gathered up all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around Coventry, so you can start planning now. July 4 is a big deal this year, as it is Coventry's first annual fireworks display.

Where: Herbert F. Paine Memorial Park, 1277 Main St.
When: 1:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Saturday.
Coventry's first July 4 celebrations includes fireworks, food trucks, a kids' fun zone and live music.
To celebrate the town's first July 4 celebration, the Coventry Recreation Department booked Rhode Island's Billy Gilman, a singer who appeared on "The Voice."

- Food trucks — 1:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- Kids' zone — 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Riff Raff The Band — 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.
- Pat Barone Band — 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- Billy Gilman — 5:30 p.m.to 7:30 p.m.

When: Parking opens at 7 p.m., fireworks start at 9 p.m., Sunday.
