Motorcyclist Killed In Weekend Coventry Crash
This is the second fatal crash at the intersection of Flat River Road and Gillespie Court in several weeks.
COVENTRY, RI — One person was killed in a motorcycle crash on Flat River Road in Coventry on Sunday morning, police said.
The crash happened a little before 6 a.m., police said, at the intersection of Flat River Road and Gillespie Court. Police found a motorcycle lying off the road and the driver nearby.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The person's identity was being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash, police said, and the cause is under investigation.
This is the second fatal crash on Flat River Road in several weeks. On April 18, a Coventry man was killed in a crash near the same intersection with Gillespie Court.
