New Movie Theater To Open At Warwick Mall
The former Showcase Cinema closed permanently after the COVID-19 pandemic shuttered it for months.
WARWICK, RI — A new movie theater is coming to Rhode Island. Apple Cinemas will move into the former Showcase Cinema at the Warwick Mall.
The new cinema will open late fall, mall management said.
"We are so excited to announce that Apple Cinemas will be the newest resident at Warwick Mall!" the announcement said.

According to the announcement, the new theater will feature "a top-of-the-line experience at a very friendly price point," including reclining seats, in-seat dining and a full bar.
The space was formerly occupied by Showcase Cinemas. The theater did not reopen following a months-long closure due to the coronavirus pandemic.
