Nursing Home Resident Charged With Sexual Assault: Coventry Police

COVENTRY, RI—Francis Kinsey, 74, a resident at Coventry Center, has been arrested in connection with a sexual assault at the nursing home. Coventry Center is a nursing and rehabilitation center located in Coventry. Police said a nursing home employee reported the alleged crime after seeing him assault an 80-year-old woman who also lives at the home.

He was arrested Oct. 14 and is being held at the Adult Correctional Institutions per order of a bail commissioner. He will be formally arraigned on the sexual assault charges and be presented as a bail violator later this week in Kent County Court.

"During the investigation," police said, "it was learned that Kinsey had been arrested for 1st degree child molestation in 2012 in Charlestown, RI, a case that has yet to be adjudicated."
