A severe thunderstorm ripped through Coventry, damaging some homes and taking down trees and power lines.
One of the worst thunderstorms in recent memory ripped through Coventry early Tuesday morning, leaving trees and power lines down in its wake.
Electricity has been out since early this morning throughout much of the town, and National Grid estimates it won’t be fully restored until early Wednesday morning, according to the power company’s Power Outage Map.
Trees, leaves and branches littered much of the town and the state, especially in Cranston, Warwick and Coventry, where the storm hit the worst.
