After a Monday melt day, a clash of cold and warm weather brings more chances for snow and ice over the next week.

Monday is shaping up as one of the more pleasant days in recent weeks, with a high temperature of 44 degrees and light southwest wind allowing for plenty of melting of the Sunday snow and the ice-crusted ground beneath it.
Monday night should be the first night where temperatures stay above freezing in more than a month, with the temperature again hitting the low 40s early on Tuesday before falling later in the day amid a brisk northwest wind.

Wednesday returns to colder weather with a high of 32 degrees before warmer weather makes a comeback with precipitation late Wednesday into Thursday morning. It could start out as a period of snow and ice Thursday morning, with temperatures eventually rising into the 40s once again Thursday afternoon.
The timing of the change will be key, with some areas experiencing prolonged tough driving conditions during the morning commute and ride to school.
After a seasonable Friday and Saturday with highs in the upper 30s with sunshine, the next chance for snow comes Saturday night, with the NWS saying that "snow could be heavy at times" with "patchy freezing fog."
Snow and ice could linger into early Sunday morning before temperatures warm back to near 40 degrees as the precipitation shifts to rain.
