WARWICK, RI — The Rhode Island Airport Corporation (RIAC) has entered into an agreement with Uber and Lyft at T.F. Green Airport, the organization announced Thursday. Both services will now offer curbside pickup just outside the terminal, starting Oct. 1.

"We are pleased to have Uber join Lyft in offering curbside pickup for travelers at T.F. Green Airport," said Iftikhar Ahmad, RIAC's president and CEO. "Our patrons appreciate T.F. Green Airport’s commitment to easy, stress-free travel, including the ability to quickly and easily access curbside transportation services."

The corporation has been partnered with Lyft since Sept. 2018, allowing them to operate at the airport's commercial curb. Uber, meanwhile, only offered services off-site, which was inconvenient for travelers.

The announcement comes at the same time as new pricing structures at the airport, allowing for travelers to reserve parking in advance in garages A, B and both short- and long-term parking in Lot D. More information is available on the airport's website.

The airport also implemented new touchless ticket machines, which will be used in all parking lots and garages operated by the airport, to "promote safe and healthy travel for all T.F. Green Airport patrons." Because of lowered travel demand, Lot E is still closed until further notice.
