Want A Furry New Friend? Animal Control Has Plenty of Options

Ready and waiting for new homes are the following animals:

• A 4 to 5-year-old male brown lab that animal control officers picked up as a stray about two weeks ago. He is friendly and seems to be house-trained, but is currently overweight so a balanced diet will be necessary. He is not vaccinated or neutered and will most likely be happiest in a single-dog household.

• Vega, the 2-year-old male American Bulldog is very friendly and rambunctious but could use a bit of training with least manners. He is not currently neutered or vaccinated.

• A 1-year-old male Pitbull mix pup who was picked up by Animal Control in Western Coventry a couple of months ago. This pup seems to be a bit shy, but is super sweet and playful once he gets used to you and he knows basic commands. He is currently not vaccinated or neutered.

• Animal Control is currently home to six kitties who would love to be adopted by a caring family. Included in the six are a black and a white/gray cat who have been at the shelter since the summer as well as four black and black/white short-hair kittens, two male and two female. All of the felines have been fixed and vaccinated.

If you rent an apartment, written permission from your landlord to have the type of animal you are looking to adopt is required.
