COVENTRY, RI — Visits and pictures with Santa are treasured traditions for many Coventry families. For them, there’s nothing quite like seeing jolly old St. Nick live and in person.
Coventry Parks and Recreation will host its first outdoor Winter Wonderland event on Dec. 2, and Santa Claus will be there for free pictures with the kids.
The Coventry Winter Wonderland event is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Dec. 2 outside the town hall at 1670 Flat River Road.

There will be holiday craft vendors, a free gift-wrapping station, food trucks, a holiday hayride, a free kids' craft station, Coventry Public Library activities, and more.
Santa is coming to Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack stores on Black Friday, which is Nov. 24 this year, including in Warwick.
