17 Arrested in Cranston Police-Led Child Sex Trafficking Sting
Multi-agency operation targeting human sex traffickers, especially of juveniles, nets 17 arrests.

CRANSTON, RI—Seventeen people from across Rhode Island and Massachusetts have been arrested after a multi-agency operation led by the Cranston Police Department focusing on sex trafficking of underage and adult victims.
Cranston Police Chief Col. Michael J. Winquist said that the operation was conducted with the support of DayOne and the Auburn Center.

Detectives and agents set up at an undisclosed location in Cranston on Monday and Thursday and "targeted individuals exploiting juvenile and adult victims via the Internet for purposes of human trafficking and prostitution."
Among those charged is a 21-year-old Providence woman who is facing prostitution and human trafficking charges. The victim, police said, is a 16-year-old juvenile female.

The majority of arrests were of men ranging in age from 20 to 53 for procurement of sexual conduct for a fee.
The operation was led by Cranston police and involved a wide assortment of local, state and federal assisting agencies, including the Department of Homeland Security, Federal Bureau of Investigations, Rhode Island State Police and police departments in Seekonk, Narragansett, Providence and East Providence.

Arrested were:
Tyreik Grundy, 20, of 510 Central Ave., Pawtucket, charged with a bench warrant out of Sixth Division District Court. He was transported to the Adult Correctional Institutions in Cranston.
Joshua M. Belanger, 51, of 45 Parkway Lane, Maron, MA, charged with one count of procurement of sexual conduct for a fee. He was arraigned and released.
Yuleysi Garcia, 21, of 166 Standwood St., Providence, charged with one count of prostitution and one count of human trafficking. The victim was a 16-year-old juvenile femile. She was held for arraignment in the morning.
Jason Still, 41, of 117 Brookside Ave., West Warwick, charged with one count of procurement of sexual conduct for a fee. He was arraigned and released.
Devon Brown, 23, 3 Road A., Everett, MA, charged with one count of pandering. He was held for arraignment in the morning.
Peter Fidas, 42, of 221 Parkside Drive, Warwick, charged with one count of procurement of sexual conduct for a fee. He was arraigned and released.
Anthony Patrick, 26, of 266 Manton Ave., Providence, charged with one count of procurement of sexual conduct for a fee and resisting arrest. He was arraigned and released.
Andrew S. Codagone, 28, of 11 Ester Drive, North Providence, charged with one count of procurement of sexual conduct for a fee. He was arraigned and released.
Jason Marrocco, 33, of 305 Greenwich Ave., Warwick, charged with one count of procurement of sexual conduct for a fee. He was arraigned and released.
Mutable Aljaghtham, 30, of 2020 Kingstown Road, Wakefield, charged with one count of procurement of sexual conduct for a fee. He was arraigned and released.
Nestor Padilla, 38, of 29 Gray Street, Providence, charged with one count of procurement of sexual conduct for a fee. He was arraigned and released.
Jamie McNeill, 38, of 111 Cindy Lane, Warwick, charged with one count of procurement of sexual conduct for a fee. He was arraigned and released.
Steven Harrop, 52, of 184 N. Worcester St., Norton, MA, charged with one count of procurement of sexual conduct for a fee. He was arraigned and released.
Gary Hathaway, 41, of 188 Pinnery Ave., Warwick, charged with one count of procurement of sexual conduct for a fee. He was arraigned and released.
Robert Woodstock, 54, of 24 Long Pond Road, Coventry, charged with one count of procurement of sexual conduct for a fee. He was arraigned and released.
