Cranston Woman Stole More Than $500 Worth Of Food Stamps: Cops

The Cranston woman also gave a false document to a public official, police said.

CRANSTON, RI — A Cranston woman stole more than $500 worth of food stamps, police said.

Jackely Madera Reyes, 28, was arrested shortly before 6:30 p.m. Monday and charged with giving a false document to a public official, obtaining property by false pretenses or personation, access to a computer for fraudulent purposes, fraudulently obtaining public assistance over $500, and 5.) fraudulent use of food stamps over $500, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.

Madera Reyes was processed, arraigned and given a Third District Court date, the release said.
