22-Year-Old Motorcyclist Dies In Warwick Crash Involving School Pickup Truck
Warwick police say the man was thrown backwards from his motorcycle. He was not wearing a helmet, according to police.
WARWICK, RI — A 22-year-old man died in a motorcycle crash on Thursday morning in Warwick, according to police.
Police said the crash happened just before 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of West Shore Road and Winifred Avenue between the motorcycle and a Warwick Public Schools Department pickup truck. The truck was turning left when the motorcycle hit the truck's front passenger side, according to police.
Police said the man was thrown backwards and landed on the street. He was not wearing a helmet, according to police. The motorcyclist was rushed to Rhode Island Hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries there. Police have not released the man's identity.

Police said the pickup truck driver was not injured.
