CRANSTON, RI — The following people were arrested by Cranston police between May 23 and May 28.

Names of those arrested, their age, or the town they reside in were only omitted when not provided by police.

May 23

6:20 p.m. — Gian Carlo Ponce Cifuentes, 41, of Clifton, New Jersey, Yahira Kristel Inga Silva, 20, and Lucero Abigail Valentin Vargas, 20, both of Patterson, New Jersey, were charged with felony receiving stolen goods, shoplifting, and felony conspiracy. Police said the arrest stemmed from a shoplifting call at the Marshall's store on Oaklawn Avenue. The arrest then came during a motor vehicle stop.

May 25

2:39 a.m. — Brandon Vargas, 25, of West Warwick, was charged with DUI (first offense) and refusal to submit to a chemical test. Police said the arrest happened after a crash on Atwood Avenue.

2:09 p.m. — Meghan Pardee, 32, of Providence, was charged with shoplifting. She was also arrested on three Providence Superior Court bench warrants and a warrant out of Third District Court. Police said the arrest stemmed from a call for service to the Walmart on Plainfield Pike.

3:42 p.m. — Tobin Ferretti, 27, of Providence, was charged with two counts of felony shoplifting.

5:58 p.m. — Deborah Aponte, 53, of Cranston, was charged with two counts of vandalism/malicious injury to property. Police said the arrest stemmed from a call for service on Hawthorne Avenue.

9 p.m. — Joseph Trott, 43, was charged with DWI (first offense), refusal to submit to a chemical test, and duty to stop for an accident with damage to an attended vehicle. Police said the arrest happened after a call for service on Reservoir Avenue.

May 27

8 a.m. — Adam Bertsch, 33, of Cranston, was charged with larceny under $1,500. Police said the arrest stemmed from a call for service to the Mesa Café on Rolfe Street.

8:38 p.m. — Crystal Palardy, 37, of Warwick, was charged with breaking and entering of a dwelling when the resident is home. Police said Warwick police arrested her on a warrant.

May 28

3:28 p.m. — Jenna Giraitis, 25, of Providence, was charged with shoplifting. Police said the arrest stemmed from a call for service to the Stop & Shop on Garfield Avenue.

9:06 p.m. — Taylor Finnegan, 36, was charged with shoplifting. Police said the arrest stemmed from a call for service to the Stop & Shop on Garfield Avenue.
