BankNewport to Open Chapel View Branch
The new branch will open in September adjacent to the new Panera Bread.

CRANSTON, RI—BankNewport announced Friday that the company has signed a lease and will open a new branch office in Chapel View in Cranston.
The new branch will be at the main entrance off Sockanosset Cross Road next to Panera Bread.
“BankNewport’s new Chapel View branch will provide added convenience to area customers, residents, commuters, and businesses to access our full range of financial services, delivered by a local team that they know and trust,” said BankNewport President and CEO Sandra J. Pattie.

BankNewport currently has one other branch in Cranston at 875 Pontiac Avenue. A total of 15 BankNewport branches are in operation in Rhode Island.
The bank was founded in 1819 and reports holding $1.4 billion in assets.
