CA Man Accused Of Making Obscene, Threatening Calls To RI, MA Women
Federal prosecutors say Justin Glauthier, 30, of Anaheim, California, repeatedly called and harassed at least nine women.
PROVIDENCE, RI — A California man was arrested Wednesday after he made hundreds of obscene and threatening calls to women in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and elsewhere, Acting U.S. Attorney Sara Miron Bloom said.
Justin Glauthier, 30, of Anaheim, California, was charged with cyberstalking, interstate threats to injure, and making interstate obscene or harassing calls.
According to court documents unsealed in U.S. District Court in Providence, Glauthier repeatedly called and harassed women whose name, photograph, and other personal information, he found online. As of Thursday, at least nine women have been identified as receiving harassing and, in some instances, threatening calls that an FBI investigation attributes to Glauthier.

In dozens of calls, Glauthier made sexually explicit comments and, at times, threatened his victims if they did not stay on the phone with him or cooperate with him during the calls, prosecutors said. Prosecutors said in some instances, he claimed to know where his victims lived and/or worked and threatened to visit them unannounced at their homes or place of employment.
Glauthier was arrested by agents from the FBI’s Providence and Orange County, California, Resident Agencies. He is expected to make an initial appearance before a U.S. Magistrate Judge in Santa Ana, CA, on Thursday.
