Cranston Bank Robbed, Suspect at Large
Police are now searching the suspect who passed a note telling a clerk she'd be shot if she didn't hand over cash.
CRANSTON, RI—A man wearing a hooded jacket and a scarf partially covering his face passed a note to a clerk at the Bank Rhode Island branch on Park Avenue telling her she would be shot if she didn’t hand over cash on Wednesday.
Police are now looking for the suspect, described as a white man standing between 5-feet 7- and 10-inches tall, wearing a black hooded jacket, white scarf, white sneakers with black laces, a grey and red knit hat and gloves.
Police were dispatched after the 12:38 p.m. panic alarm at the bank, located at 1047 Park Ave.

Bank employees said the suspect was given about $1,000 cash and he fled on foot toward the rear of the bank.
Nobody was hurt during the robbery.

Police said if anyone encounters a person matching the suspect in the surveillance photographs to not approach and call 911.
The suspect is being considered armed and dangerous.
