Cranston: Fire At The Lottery Building

Crews went to Pontiac Avenue for a report of smoke in the building.

CRANSTON, RI— Crews went to Pontiac Avenue for a report of smoke in the state lottery building on Tuesday night. According to Deputy Chief James Warren, a small fire had started on the exterior of the building. A small number of lottery commission workers were inside the building, and they were evacuated while the fire was knocked down. They have since returned to work in the lottery building.

No one was injured. As of 8:45 p.m., the fire marshal was at the scene to investigate the cause.
