CRANSTON, RI — A Cranston man outran the cops but was later arrested at his home, police said.
Robert Hampton, 36, was taken into custody at his Rhode Island Street residence about 1 a.m. Tuesday and charged with eluding law enforcement — high speed pursuit, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.
This arrest was the result of a vehicle failing to stop on Route 95, in the City of Pawtucket," the release said.

Hampton was "later located at his residence in Cranston, according to the release. "Hampton was transported to the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and held overnight pending morning arraignment as a probation violator."
