Cranston Man Trafficked Meth-Laced Pills: US Atttorney

The Cranston man trafficked counterfeit Adderall pills, the U.S. Attorney's Office said.

CRANSTON, RI — A Cranston man trafficked tens of thousands of counterfeit Adderall pills laced with methamphetamine, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.

Anthony Stevens, 37, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court to possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine and is scheduled to be sentenced Oct. 30, according to a media release from the U.S. Attorney's Office.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives launched an investigation of Stevens in November 2023, the release said.

Simultaneously, the Drug Enforcement Administration "developed information that Stevens was in possession of a large quantity of counterfeit pills," the release said.

"Subsequently, during an investigation that spanned nine months, DEA seized a total of 30,226 pills containing methamphetamine from Steven’s vehicle and from a Providence residence he utilized as a stash house, along with $3,360 in cash," the release said.
