Cranston Police Looking For Stolen Car
Cranston police say the suspect struck a police cruiser when trying to evade capture.

CRANSTON, RI — Cranston police have asked for the public’s help finding a stolen car that was seen in the city.
Police said the car was reported stolen out of Raynham, Massachusetts, Saturday morning around midnight. Then around 4:15 p.m., Cranston police received an alert from a Flock license plate read indicating the vehicle was stolen and was traveling in the city.
Police said an officer found the car with two occupants on Elmwood Avenue and tried to pull the driver over. According to police, the driver refused to stop, crossed into Warwick and struck the officer's cruiser at the intersection of Manson and Warwick avenues. Police said the driver escaped.

The cruiser sustained minor damage, and the officer was not injured, police said.
Police said the vehicle was last seen traveling on Norwood Avenue. If anyone sees the vehicle, call the Cranston Police Department at 401-942-2211.
