Football Schedule 2023: See Who Cranston's 2 High Schools Face This Fall

COVENTRY, RI — The first week of school marks the hard end of summer vacation, but the new school year doesn't really round into form until the first kickoff on a Friday night.

That day will come Thursday or Friday for Cranston's two high school football teams. Cranston High School East will open their season on the road against Mt. Pleasant on Friday. The Thunderbolts first home game will come in week two against Central.

As for Cranston High School West, their season will start at home against West Warwick on Thursday. The Falcon's first road game won't come until week four at East Providence.

The two schools will play their annual Thanksgiving Day matchup against east other at 10 a.m. This year, Cranston West is the home team.

Here's the full 2023 schedule for Cranston's two high school football teams:

Cranston East

• Sept. 8 at Mt. Pleasant, 6 p.m.
• Sept. 16 vs. Central, 3 p.m.
• Sept. 22 at South Kingstown, 6 p.m.
• Sept. 29 vs. Barrington, 7 p.m.
• Oct. 6 vs. Woonsocket, 7 p.m.
• Oct. 13 at Westerly, 7 p.m.
• Oct. 20 vs. Shea, 7 p.m.
• Oct. 28 at Portsmouth, 1:30 p.m.
• Nov. 23 at Cranston West, 10 a.m.

Cranston West

• Sept. 7 vs. West Warwick, 7 p.m.
• Sept. 15 vs. Burrillville, 7 p.m.
• Sept. 22 vs. St. Raphael Academy, 7 p.m.
• Sept. 29 at East Providence, 7 p.m.
• Oct. 5 at Bishop Hendricken, 7 p.m.
