Intoxicated Cranston Driver Crashes Into Fire Truck: Police
Emmanuel D. Cabrera was charged with a host of crimes after police said he hit a Providence fire truck on Interstate 95.

PROVIDENCE, RI — A Cranston driver was intoxicated when he crashed into a Providence fire truck on Interstate 95 Tuesday, police said. The fire truck was parked on the northbound side of the highway near Memorial Boulevard as firefighters assisted at a crash scene. No one was hurt.
Emmanuel D. Cabrera, 31, was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor/drugs (first offense), refusing to submit to a chemical test and failure to reduce speed for an emergency vehicle.
The truck's emergency lights were flashing at the time of the crash, according to Rhode Island State Police.
