Man Stabs Man 4 Times In Attempted Home Break-In: Cranston Police
Cranston police say Devan Tallo, 32, stabbed a man four times, injuring his neck and abdomen.

CRANSTON, RI — Cranston police arrested a man they said tried to break into a man's house and stabbed him four times with a butcher knife.
Devan Tallo, 32, was charged with felony assault with a dangerous weapon, attempted breaking and entering, commission of a crime of violence while in possession of a knife over 3 inches, and resisting arrest.
Around noon Tuesday, Cranston police were called to Aldrich Avenue for a report of a stabbing. When officers, arrived, they found Tallo being restrained by two men and a butcher knife nearby, police said. Officers also discovered the victim on the ground with stab wounds to his neck and abdomen.

The victim was rushed to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence and is in stable condition, according to police. Tallo was also taken to the hospital with a hand laceration.
Police said witnesses told officers they saw Tallo attacking the victim, so they intervened. When officers tried to handcuff Tallo, he resisted, which led to him being hit with a stun gun, police said.

Further investigation revealed Tallo tried to break into the home while the victim and his daughter were inside, according to police. Afterward, the victim saw Tallo rummaging through the trash behind his home.
Police said the victim confronted Tallo, which led to an argument in front of the home and then the stabbing.
