North Smithfield Man Damages Fences, Sports Fields At Warwick Park With His Car: Police
Police say Cody O'Brien, 25, of North Smithfield, drove through 12 fences and the baseball and soccer fields at Warwick City Park.

WARWICK, RI — A North Smithfield man was arrested Thursday after police said he drove through 12 wooden fences and damaged the baseball and soccer fields at Warwick City Park.
Cody O'Brien, 25, was charged with vandalism.
Around 3 a.m. on Feb. 21, a Warwick police officer was on patrol near the park and noticed the fences and fields were damaged. Police said it was likely someone drove a vehicle through the fences before driving on the snow covered fields and damaging them as well.

Police said an investigation led to detectives identifying suspects and eventually arresting O'Brien.
