Obituary: John E. Jones, 79

Jones, John E., 79, a retired truck driver for the Teamsters #251 passed away Thursday, March 10, 2016 at RI Hospital.

He was the beloved husband of Gail P. (Davis) Jones for 53 years and a son of the late Alanson and Margaret (Fisher) Jones.

John was the loving father of John H. Jones (Linda), Kevin S. Jones (Jill), and Brenda L. Giampietro (James); loving grandfather of Michael, Stephanie, James, Kylia, Joseph, Kristin, Brandon, and Izabella; loving great grandfather of Natalia; brother of Robert Jones, Florence Kidd, and the late Alanson, Vincent, Ronald, Ralph, Harold Jones, Helen Healey and Janet Pierce. Mr. Jones served in the U.S Army.

His funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at 11 am in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Avenue, Warwick. Burial with military honors will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Monday, 4-8 pm.
