Vito Cotoia, 82, of Cranston, passed away on Monday, February 29, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Vito Cotoia, 82, of Cranston, passed away on Monday, February 29, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Domenica (Petrarca) Cotoia.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Francesco and Angelina (Manzo) Cotoia. Mr. Cotoia was employed at General Electric Providence Base Works for over 20 years until his retirement; he was also an Army Korean War veteran.
He is survived by his loving daughters, Michelle David and her husband George of Cranston and Angela Haggerty of South Kingstown. He was also the cherished grandfather of Jessica David, Dennis Haggerty and Andrew Haggerty and brother of Anna Pietropaulo and Robert Cotoia. Vito was the brother of the late Frank, Joseph, Anthony and Armando Cotoia, Sadie Jarvis, Jenny Ratoon and Dolores Branca.

His funeral was held on Saturday at 9 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Brigid’s Church, Johnston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675.
