Police Investigate Potential Terrorist Plot Connection in Warwick

Sources report that police visited a man's home, but did not make an arrest.

One man was killed by officers working with the Joint Terrorism Task Force, and another was arrested in connection with an alleged beheading plot in the Boston area Tuesday.

Police also barricaded off a road in Warwick, R.I., Wednesday, to order to investigate an individual they thought may be connected to the two alleged conspirators in some way.

However, the barricade was removed at around 1 p.m. and no one was arrested, reports WPRI Channel 12.

David Wright, of Everett, Mass., was arrested Tuesday night and is scheduled to appear in court at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, according to WHDH Channel 7.

His arrest appears to be related to a supposedly planned conspiracy to commit violence alongside Usaama Rahim, 26, of Roslindale.

Rahim was already under 24-hour surveillance for possible terroristic intentions, and allegedly threatened officers with a knife before they shot him him in Roslindale Tuesday.

According to CBS, Rahim is thought to have been converted into a radical Muslim extremist by online ISIS propaganda, and may have been putting together a plot that involved beheading police officers.
