RI Power Outages: Down To 12,000 Waiting

National Grid said it is working to restore service to 12,315 customers, as of 6:45 a.m. Some will wait until midnight Monday for service.

CRANSTON, RI -- More than 6,000 homes were without power as of 7 p.m., according to National Grid. Some will wait until midnight Monday, according to the company's estimates.

Here is the latest update.

Crews continue to focus on restoring service to customers who remain without electricity in the hardest hit areas of southern Rhode Island, which we expect to be fully restored by midnight tonight. This high level estimated time of restoration (ETR) reflects a general assessment of the time the last customer in a specific area is expected to be restored. Please keep in mind we are continuing to assess damage and will be refining the ETR accordingly throughout the day. Power has been restored to 96% of the over 150k customers impacted by this weekend's powerful storm, and we’re laser focused on that remaining 4 percent.
