Four to 7 inches of snow is forecasted for Rhode Island, closing many schools on Tuesday.

RHODE ISLAND — The following Rhode Island public school districts will be either closed, delayed or having distance learning on Tuesday because of the winter storm on Monday night into Tuesday morning:

  • Bristol Warren Public Schools — distance learning day
  • Burrillville Public Schools — closed
  • Central Falls Public Schools — distance learning day
  • Chariho Regional Public Schools — closed
  • Compass School — closed
  • Coventry Public Schools — distance learning day
  • Cranston Public Schools — distance learning day
  • Cumberland Public Schools — closed
  • East Bay Educational Collaborative — closed
  • East Greenwich Public Schools — closed
  • East Providence Public Schools — closed
  • Exeter-West Greenwich Public Schools — closed
  • Foster-Glocester Elementary and Regional Schools — closed
  • Jamestown Public Schools — closed

Four to 7 inches of snow is forecasted for Rhode Island. The low Monday night will be 28. Snow will continue into Tuesday, with another 1 to 2 inches of accumulation possible and a high of 36.
