The Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) on Monday released its preliminary list for the top baby names of 2024 in the Ocean State.
Liam was the top baby name for boys in Rhode Island, rising from its No. 2 spot in 2023, and returning to No. 1 after being the top name in 2021 and 2022.

The most popular girl name was Charlotte. This was the third year in a row, Charlotte was the top girl name in Rhode Island.
