Star Student Athlete: Meet Cranston's Isabella Ba

CRANSTON, RI — We all know student athletes who also bring their A-game to other parts of their lives.

Why do you believe the star student athlete should be recognized?

If you are looking for a well-rounded student, look no further! Isabella is East’s Captain of the tennis team and plays First Singles. Not only does she play tennis, but she also spends her time contributing in many ways to her school, and community and is excelling academically. She is a positive role model who possesses and demonstrates the qualities of a passionate leader. She is currently the Battalion Commander for JROTC, the Class of 2023 President at East, and the National Honor Society President. She also participates in Theater, Youth Driven, Cranston Police Explorers, East Ambassador, and Bolts Broadcasting among other things. If someone needs a volunteer or support, she will give up her time, no matter how busy she is. Perhaps I am biased as her mom, but it isn’t often you see kids her age actively participating in so many things and still have time to focus on family, friends, and hobbies. Never having played tennis before East, Isabella has worked hard to be the best player she can and helps to motivate her peers who are on the team. I am so excited to see where the future will take her one day!

She is a positive influence and is dedicated to everything she puts her heart into.
