Suspects in Cranston YMCA Thefts Sought by Police
Police said they're investigating several instances of theft from the YMCA on Park Avenue.
CRANSTON, RI—The Cranston Police Department is attempting to identify two people who stole wallets and purses from the YMCA on Park Avenue in November and December.
Police said the a man accompanied by a heavyset woman tried to use a stolen credit card to buy $179.05 worth of items from a Cranston Street Rite-Aid.
A victim told police that there were several successful transactions at McDonald’s and several gas stations in Cranston with the stolen card.

Police said they are actively investigating several larcenies from the YMCA and anyone with information is asked to call police at 401-477-5139. Det. Paula Duffy is leading the investigation.
