Three Teens Survive Cranston Rollover Crash
One was ejected and pinned under the car. All three were hospitalized. Just one was wearing a seat belt.

CRANSTON, RI—The state police are investigating a rollover crash on Route 10 in Cranston last night that somehow did not end with a fatality.
A 19-year-old North Providence woman, identified as Destiny Cotto, was ejected and pinned under the car after it rolled over several times before coming to a rest on its roof in the breakdown lane. She was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
The driver, Meghan Kennedy, 19, of Warwick, was also not wearing her seat belt and suffered serious but non life-threatening injuries.

Police said Kennedy was driving her 2002 Honda Civic when she veered right, crossed three lanes of travel, hit the curb and guardrail and struck the Pontiac Avenue overpass abutment. The impact sent the car rolling, leaving a trail of broken car parts and personal items before it came to a stop.
A man in the front seat, Ian Willard, 18, was wearing his seat belt. He suffered serious but non life-threatening injuries.

All three were transported to Rhode Island hospital.
No other cars were involved in the crash. State troopers from the Lincoln Woods barracks continue to investigate with members of the Rhode Island State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit and Forensic Service Unit.
