Trump to Top RI Primary Ballot, For Democrats? Mark Stewart

A state lottery machine was used to decide who gets top billing on the ballot this November.

PROVIDENCE, RI—Republican Presidentical Candidate Donald Trump and Democrat Mark Stewart will appear first on the ballot when Rhode Islanders vote in the April 26 Presidential Preference Primary.

Secretary of State Nellie M. Gorbea announced the order of the candidates on Thursday after using a state lottery machine to decide.

For the Republicans, Trump will be followed by Ted Cruz, John Kasich, Marco Rubio and "Uncommitted."

For the Democrats, Stewart is followed by Bernie Sanders, "Uncommitted," Roque "Rocky" De La Fuente and Hillary Clinton.

The ballot position for the 166 candidates hoping to become delegates at the Democratic and Republican National Conventions were also chosen.
