Two Cranston Schools To Resume Classes Thursday

It's back to school for Cranston High East and the Edgewood Highland Elementary School students, according to the district website.

CRANSTON, RI— Students at Cranston High East and the Edgewood Highland Elementary School go back to school Thursday, although the elementary school building will remain closed due to damage from burst pipes. According to the district website, Cranston High East will be back open at the regular time. The elementary school and pre-kindergarten students will be relocated while repairs are made to their school building.

According to the district's website, the pre-kindergarten students will be at the E.S. Rhodes Elementary, 160 Shaw Ave., and the elementary school grades will be at Norwood Avenue school, 205 Norwood Ave. The buses will pick them up and bring them home, if they're eligible for transportation.

The Edgewood Highland Elementary school may not be ready until February vacation, the district said in a Q & A on its website.
