CRANSTON, RI — The following people were arrested by Cranston police between Dec. 27 and Jan. 1.

Names of those arrested, their age, or the town they reside in, as well as the time of the arrest, were only omitted when not provided by police.

6:24 p.m. — Edwin Foster, 58, of Cranston, was charged with duty to stop at an accident with damage to an attended vehicle. Police said the arrest stemmed from a stolen vehicle broadcast.

10:25 a.m. — Susan Tripp, 55, of Fall River, Massachusetts, was charged with possession of Xanax, possession of crack cocaine (under 10 grams), and possession of amphetamine (under 10 grams). Police said the arrest stemmed from a self-initiated motor vehicle stop in the area of Sockanosset Cross Road and Hillside Road.

10:30 a.m. — Iesha Murrell, 29, of Newport, was charged with crank or obscene phone calls. Police said the arrest stemmed from Murrell being turned over by Rhode Island State Police on a warrant.

4:13 p.m. — Taylor Finnegan, 39, of Providence, was charged with felony shoplifting. Police said the arrest happened after a call for service at the Stop & Shop at 204 Garfield Ave.

Dec. 29

12:19 p.m. — Susan Tripp, 55, of Fall River, Massachusetts, was charged with possession of crack cocaine (over 10 grams). Police said the arrest stemmed from a self-initiated motor vehicle stop on Sockanosset Cross Road.

12:25 p.m. — Edward Branco, 64, of Fall River, Massachusetts, was charged with possession of crack cocaine (under 10 grams). Police said the arrest stemmed from a self-initiated motor vehicle stop on Sockanosset Cross Road.

Dec. 30

5:24 p.m. — Francisco Ortiz Escoto, 23, of Cranston, was charged with domestic simple assault and domestic disorderly conduct.

5:30 p.m. — Radhis Rodriguez, 24, of Cranston, was charged with domestic simple assault and domestic disorderly conduct.

Jan. 1

3:25 a.m. — Sierra Arreola, 22, of Cranston, was charged with DUI (first offense). According to police, Arreola's blood-alcohol readings were 0.120 and 0.118. Police said the arrest stemmed from a crash investigation on New London Avenue.

4:02 a.m. — Nicholas Villafane, 34, of Providence, was charged with domestic simple assault (first offense), domestic disorderly conduct, and resisting legal or illegal arrest.
