Woman Hit By U.S. Postal Service Van In Cranston

Cranston police say the 48-year-old woman suffered serious injuries, but she is expected to survive.

CRANSTON, RI — A woman was hit by a U.S. Postal Service van in Cranston on Saturday evening, according to police.

Police said the crash happened around 5:12 p.m. near Cranston Street and Chestnut Hill Avenue. According to police, the 48-year-old woman was not in a crosswalk when she was struck by the van.

Police said the woman suffered serious injuries, but she is expected to survive.

The driver has not faced charges at this time.
