Woman Struck by Car Crossing Phenix Ave
The woman reportedly was in a marked crosswalk when she was struck by a car near the intersection of Phenix and Atwood Avenues on Friday.

CRANSTON, RI—A 40-year-old woman crossing the street near the intersection of Phenix and Atwood Avenues was transported to Rhode Island Hospital for serious injuries after she was struck by a car on Friday night.
Police said that the woman apparently was in a marked crosswalk when she was struck while crossing Phenix Avenue from Stop & Shop toward Burger King at around 5:55 p.m.
The car was traveling west on Phenix Avenue, police said and the driver was not injured.

The driver is not facing charges or citations at this time, police said, and the investigation is being completed by the department’s traffic unit.
