CUMBERLAND, RI — A missing dog named Margo was rescued in time to ring in the new year with her family after Cumberland officials found her stranded on an island at Rawson Pond.

Together, Cumberland Animal Control and Lincoln Animal Control officers, the Cumberland Fire Department, and "a few very helpful neighbors" worked to "safely locate and retrieve Margot and bring her back to land," animal control officers said in a statement on Facebook.

Photos along with the post show four rescuers on a paddle boat as they make the trip to and from the island to save Margot.
