• Crews knock down house fire in Cumberland (wpri.com) — A house fire on East Street in Cumberland Monday night has left the home uninhabitable, and investigators believe a faulty electrical power strip is to blame. The State Fire Marshal’s Office and Cumberland fire marshal determined the cause, though officials have not yet said whether anyone was injured. Residents may want to double-check older or overloaded power strips at home.
