Do You Know This Dog?

The dog, who's name appears to be Mugsley, was hit by a car on Division Street near South County Trail on Sunday.

The volunteers at the East Greenwich Animal Protection League are hoping someone will come forward to claim a dog (pictured here) brought in on Sunday by a woman who said he was hit by a car on Division Street by Dave's Market.

According to EGAPL's Tammy Flanagan, the woman said the driver hit the dog and kept going. Flanagan said the dog is resting comfortably with only minor injuries. He had an implanted microchip that listed his name as Mugsley as well as a phone number, but the phone number was not in service.

Flanagan found a vet that had cared for Mugsley in the past. The vet had a record that Mugsley was given away in 2008.
