"It was so strong I went flying out of my house," said one EG resident.

An earthquake in Maine was felt by people in East Greenwich Tuesday evening. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake struck at 7:12 p.m. and had a magnitude of 4.5.

"It's an earthquake," said Chairwoman Deidre Gifford. (Gifford grew up in California.)
