The East Greenwich Athletic Hall of Fame Committee held their second meeting on Nov. 30 in order to come up with a slate of candidates for their 2016 Induction ceremony, which will be held in the spring ( either late April/early May ) at the East Greenwich Veteran Firemen’s Hall on Queen Street in East Greenwich.
The Committee has a list of more than 20 candidates to pick from. They will make a decision in January and make their announcement then.

Also included in the ceremony will be the awarding of the Ucci Awards, given annually to the two ( male/female ) outstanding athletes at East Greenwich High School. There will also be Appreciation Award given to a local person, who has given of themselves to better athletics in the town.
The nomination procedure will end December 31st. If anyone has a candidate in mind they should contact a member of the EGAHOF Committee with their suggestion.

Members of the Committee are : Jeff Santos, Guy Asadorian, Anthony Ucci, Bruce Roberts, Don Bowen, Chris Hurd and Curt James.
