EGHS Rallys For Spring Sports
In an effort to change it up a bit, the Student Council holds a spring pep rally at Carcieri Field.
They either got lucky, or the day was destined to be perfect. Wednesday dawned sunny and spring warmish, a welcome change from the cold and wet Tuesday. And it just so happened the first-ever East Greenwich High School spring pep rally was scheduled for Wednesday.Â
With the stands full of students, captains from each of the spring teams – from baseball to crew and everything inbetween – stepped to the microphone to make their pitch for fans to come and cheer them on.
Then it was on to the fun-and-games part of the pep rally. With the outdoor venue, the games were different than the fall offerings, including a water-balloon toss, wind-blown volleyball (totally impossible!), and the piece de resistance: a dunk tank.Â
