EGHS Students Win Overall China/US International Economic Summit

The students used creative methods to bridge culture and language divides as they worked with team members from around the world.

EAST GREENWICH, RI—Students from Archie R. Cole Middle School and East Greenwich High School put on an impressive showing at the China/U.S. International Summit last weekend.

And by impressive showing, we mean winning.

The students worked alongside their Chinese counterparts to develop trade strategies to elevate the standard of living for an assigned country.

The high-school Australia team that included EGHS students Zadoc (Zing) Gee and Matthew Durant won the overall summit.

“Their focus and the creative methods they used to bridge the culture and language divide with their Baijing team members was extraordinary,” according to Pat Page, teacher and advisor.
