Debate Tonight – You can still submit questions! The Republican and Democratic Town Committees and EG Patch are sponsoring a General Assembly debate tonight at 6:30 p.m. at the Varnum Armory. What do you want to hear the candidates talk about? Submit a question in the comments section below, or here. And thanks!

United Nations Day at Cole: Cole 6th, 7th and 8th graders will be celebrating United Nations Day tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. with a dinner of international foods, a showcase of student work and student performances in the Cole Cafetorium. Adults, $10, students/children, $5. All proceeds to benefit UNICEF.

Troop 2 Spookacular Campfire: Join the adventure! You are invited to the Boy Scout Troop 2 Annual Spooktacular Campfire from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. tonight at Academy Field (on the Spring Street side, near the Troop 2 Scout House) for Halloween treats, make-your-own Creepy Critter Sundaes, games & ghost stories. Dress in costume and join our scouts for a costume contest. There will be prizes for many different categories. All are welcome.

Pumpkin sale for a good cause: That pumpkin patch in front of the EG United Methodist Church on South County Trail isn’t just a joyful scene (those it is that in spades!). Proceeds will benefit Janice Wray and her family. Wray, an East Greenwich resident and URI nursing student, suffered serious injury in a car accident in April which left her paralyzed and in a wheelchair. The stand is 11 to 5 p.m.

Mystery Wine Tasting: Celebrate Italian Heritage Month with a Mystery Wine Tasting Event hosted by Jessica Granatiero of The Savory Grape, the National Organization of Italian American Women and Emanuella Petrucci of Women Wine Making. Learn the characteristics of four special wines, the art of food and wine pairing and how to taste wine like a professional! Light refreshments will be served. From 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Health & Wellness at New England Tech: In celebration of National Physical Therapy Month and Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Physical Therapist Assistant students will host a free, informational workshop open to the public this afternoon. Topics include: nutrition, golf and recreation after 50, breast cancer awareness and prevention, heads up-posture and balance assessment and kiddie korner for children ages 5-12. Free blood pressure screenings and healthy snacks. All are wellcome! From 3 to 6 p.m. at New England Tech.

Open House at Integrated Medical Weight Loss: Celebrate National Food Day and meet the professionals who offer services at IMWL. There will be a cooking demonstration too. The office is in the Greenwich Village complex at 1050 Main Street, Unit 18. From 3 to 7 p.m.

Ghost tours on Main Street: Take a guided candlelight stroll on Main Street Thursday evening while local myths and legends are explored. Tour the haunted Greenwich Hotel and stop by various restaurants and shops for a trick or treat! Participating stores: Skyleen Mustang, Gifts of Spirit, Staci’s Place, Luniac Glamour, The Chocolate Delicacy, The Grille on Main, Cafe Fresco, and La Masseria. Tours start at ‎Skyleen Mustang (176 Main Street, E.G. 401-884-4927). From 5 and 8 p.m. $12/person.
