Chef Richard Blais at Dave’s: Richard Blais is coming to Dave’s Marketplace for a book signing. His cookbook "Try This At Home" will be priced at $20, $10 off the cover price. Only books purchased at Dave's Marketplace will be signed at the event. From 4 to 6 p.m. at East Greenwich Square, 1000 Division St.

Sail Racing Seminar: GBSA is proud to welcome Brad Dellenbaugh for a seminar on the new 2013 Racing Rules of Sailing tonight at 7 p.m. at the East Greenwich Yacht Club. Brad Dellenbaugh, America's Cup Chief Umpire, International Judge, Olympic Sailor, Published Author and Sailing Director of the New York Yacht Club will discuss and review the New Racing Rules of Sailing. This should not be missed by any racers, young or old! Brad has graciously waived his speaking fee and asks that donations be made to GBSA instead to assist with scholarships for children who wish to learn how to sail but are prohibited for financial reasons. Jam Night at the Greenwich Hotel: Come down and jam with host Brian Shovelton every Wednesday night at the Greenwich Hotel starting at 9 p.m.

Free Rail To Providence today: Wickford Wintertime Wednesdays are “Try it Free” promotional events designed to reduce traffic congestion along southern Rhode Island roadways and corridors. These events provide commuters free parking at the Wickford Junction parking garage and free roundtrip MBTA commuter rail fare to Providence. Wickford Wednesdays are funded by the Rhode Island Department of Transportation through partnerships with Wickford Junction, RIAC, MBTA and RIPTA. To receive your roundtrip MBTA tickets to Providence and parking validation at Wickford Junction click out the the form here and redeem it at the RIPTA/Commuter Resource R.I. information table at the Wickford Junction Train station office between the hours of 4:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Wednesdays ending today. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before train departs to ensure timely boarding. If you are not commuting to Providence you can still get free parking validation for the day. MBTA tickets must be used on the actual event day.

Water Street closed: Water Street at the Barbara Tuft's Playground (Lion Street) will be closed 24 hours a day for approximately 4 more weeks. No traffic will be able to pass because of the vertical trench sheeting that will be in the road. This construction is to replace the 90-year-old sewer main from the bottom of King Street to the Waste Water Treatment Facility.
