Fundraiser for Celeste & Sydney: The mother and daughter seriously injured in the Boston Marathon bombings last week, Celeste and Sydney Corcoran, have local ties. Their husband/father is Kevin Corcoran, born and raised in Quidnessett. There is a fundraiser for them Monday at Rok Bar and Grill, starting at 5:30 p.m. You can get tickets ahead of time ($20 each) at Felicia’s Coffee.

The Switch Energy Project: East Greenwich High School is hosting a viewing of The Switch Energy Project on Monday, April 29, at 7 p.m.! Switch is a groundbreaking film focusing on the problem we have at hand with the use of non-renewable energy resources. The producers of Switch traveled the world to discover ways we can make the switch to renewable resources. Everyone is welcome to attend and learn how we can all help to make a difference! All EGHS science students can also receive extra credit with their science teachers if they attend the showing and provide their teachers with the ticket the following day in class. Please come support the EGHS Science Department and the future of our planet!
